“Practicing Chinese Filial Piety Culture—Supporting the Health and Longevity of Seniors”: The “Happy Aging, Helping Seniors” Public Welfare Initiative—A Visit to Wangchang Town, Shizhu, to Care for Left-Behind Elderly in Rural Areas

On December 11, 2024, Tonghui Company, as a caring organization, was invited to participate in the “Promoting Chinese Filial Piety Culture—Supporting the Health and Longevity of Seniors” Senior Citizen Welfare Public Service Campaign—“Stepping into Wangchang Town, Shizhu County: Caring for Left-Behind Elderly in Rural Areas,” hosted by the Chongqing Municipal Foundation for the Development of Senior Citizens’ Affairs. The company delivered warm gift packages—including quilts, blankets, rice, and cooking oil—to 100 elderly, solitary, and financially disadvantaged left-behind seniors, as well as particularly impoverished seniors. Leaders from the Shizhu County Civil Affairs Bureau, leaders from the Wangchang Town Party Committee and Town Government, relevant officials from the Municipal Foundation for the Development of Senior Citizens’ Affairs, Liu Hui, General Manager of Kaiyite Gas—a subsidiary of Tonghui Company, and members of the Tonghui Gas Union attended the event as representatives of goodwill.

For... 100 We delivered warm gift packages—including quilts, blankets, rice, and cooking oil—to elderly residents living alone, facing difficulties, and in particularly dire circumstances. Leaders from the Civil Affairs Bureau of Shizhu County, leaders from the Wangchang Town Party Committee and Town Government, representatives from the Municipal Foundation for the Development of Senior Citizens’ Affairs, Liu Hui, General Manager of Kaiyite Gas—a subsidiary of Tonghui Company, and members of the Tonghui Gas Union all attended the event as representatives of goodwill. This is a genuine and meaningful step forward in further promoting Tonghui Company’s public welfare initiatives, and it marks yet another testament to Tonghui’s compassionate efforts beyond Tongnan.

   Tonghui Company will continue to organize similar events, promoting the spirit of elder care and bringing convenience and joy to the lives of seniors.
